WHAT IS BEST FOR THE TEAM?

Teamwork affects all aspects of what you do; paddling provides you with an opportunity to fine-tune your teamwork skills. One Team, One Goal, One Race at a time! Individual goals could be made to fit with the team goals, and team goals push every member of the team.

*Teamwork is being coachable.
*Teamwork is working together.
*Teamwork is showing up at practice everyday, not for yourself, but for your crew.
*Teamwork is showing up on time for practice and races.
*Teamwork is help rigging canoes at practice and races.
*Teamwork is not being selfish.
*Teamwork is having a positive attitude in the canoe.
*Teamwork is respecting the sport, yourself and others.
*Teamwork is cheering on your club, men, women, juniors and keikis.
*Teamwork is celebrating someone else’s victory, even if you lose.
*Teamwork is not throwing a fit because you lost your race.
*Teamwork is not giving up because your opponent is better.
*Teamwork is giving everything you have at practice, races: sprints or long distance.

CHALLENGE TO PADDLERS:

Extra steps that define TEAMWORK! ‘Ohana style! Helping one another with what ever your able too, like with tents, bags, coolers etc. Carpooling to races together for far away races. Take it upon yourself to give moral support to your club. Take pride in the fact that your club crews win, even when your own crew loses. Take ownership in your team knowing that: “Teamwork is the fuel that allows common people to produce uncommon results.”
